International Journal of Coastal, Offshore & Environmental Engineering (IJCOE) is an international medium for the publication of original researches and development works. This is a peer-reviewed, open access journal and ranked as a Scientific-Research journal.
Journal of DoD Research & EngineeringThe Journal of DoD Research & Engineering (JDR&E) publishes scientific innovations, commentary, and cutting-edge research from the R&E Communities of Interest (CoI). The JDR&E provides a venue for researchers, scientists, and engineers working in our labs on limited and classified projects the opportunity to gain peer-reviewed status for their work. Through its print and online versions, the JDR&E publishes those papers that are most influential in their fields, or across fields, that will significantly advance scientific understanding. Selected papers should present novel and broadly important data, syntheses, or concepts that merit recognition by the wider DoD S&T CoI and address the need to collaborate and share information, recognizing valued contributions from our research community, while reducing the information made available to the public.

Mechanics of Wave-Seabed-Structure Interactions by Dong-Sheng JengOpening with recent advances in both the theoretical and physical models for wave-seabed-structure interactions, this book provides an updated look at the mathematics behind the interactions between sea, soil and man-made structures. The main models are broken down into key equations, and their strengths and challenges are discussed. These models are then placed in context with industry-relevant examples, in both two and three dimensions. From seabed instability around offshore wind turbines, to soil conditions in response to the laying of submarine pipelines, this book takes a comprehensive look at a variety of wave-seabed-structure interactions. With important implications for the future of offshore infrastructure, this is an ideal resource for industry workers, undergraduate students, and researchers.

Seabed Warfare and the XLUUV (NPS Capstone Report) by Christopher J. Carr; Jahdiel Franco; Cheryl Mierzwa; Lewis B. Shattuck IV; Melissa A. SuursooSeabed warfare is quickly becoming one of the most important new research areas for the U.S. Navy.
Defining seabed warfare is a challenge being faced by many as research continues in this new and
innovative field. The problem of developing a concept of operations for performing seabed warfare
operating in both offensive and defensive environments is becoming increasingly important as the need to complete kill chains without placing high-value assets at risk rises. With the introduction of the new Extra-Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV), there is an interest to determine the utility of the XLUUV in performing seabed warfare. There are many potential capabilities to unlock within the seabed warfare field. This report takes the concept of kill box, a three-dimensional area used to facilitate the integration of coordinated joint weapons fire, and applies it to a new domain: undersea. The kill box includes seabed sensors; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) devices; and effects devices.
This paper provides a concept of operations for seabed warfare in an undersea kill box with simulation results to determine the utility of the XLUUV.
